BONGO star Diamond Platinumz has been added to the impressive lineup of artistes who will perform at this year’s edition of MTV Africa Music Awards.
The Ntampata Wapi hit-singer will be making a return to the spectacular pan-African music awards’ stage with Nigerian superstar Davido, following a memorable performance of their collaboration My Number One Remix last year.
The duo, together with Yemi Alade, Bucie and Cassper Nyovest, will join American R&B star Ne-Yo at the fifth series of the awards slated for July 18 at KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa.
All five performers are hot contenders at the MAMAs 2015. Three-time MAMA winner Davido is battling it out with Diamond in the Best Male category, while Bucie and Yemi Alade go head-to-head for Best Female Artiste. Triple-nominee Cassper Nyovest is in running for Song of the Year, Best New Act Transformed by Absolut and Best Hip Hop.
Kenya will be represented by all-boy band Sauti Sol, who were nominated in two categories: Best Group in Africa and Best Song (Sura Yako).
